Export of specifically protected animals, plants and minerals is prohibited. An export licence may be exceptionally issued by the Ministry of the Environment in cases deserving special consideration.
Import and export of protected animals and plants (both live and dead) listed in the Appendices of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) is allowed only subject to compliance with the conditions specified in the Convention and against an appropriate licence.
